Another great volume. Thoroughly enjoyable. The episode surrounding Yuri was VERY touching.

I agree! I really enjoy this series so far; I hope we will get to see much more of Yuri in the upcoming episodes Very Happy

Planetes is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise stale anime scene. It's a real shame there aren't more more original and inventive anime like this out there.

IMHO, Planetes is one of the best anime releases of the year, I look forward to every release. I even bought the manga and read all of them. So far, though not in order and with some changes, the anime is tracking the manga reasonably well, even in artwork.
If you like the anime, i highly recommend the manga.

Because anime studios feel like we need another harem/fanservice series or mech series to tie all the fanboy over.

Planetes, Genshiken and Ghost in the Shell SAC 2nd Gig are three very good intelligent show releasing this year.
