Weird death, indeed? He's death wasn't reported until March 4th. Yet he died on February 20th.

It's still messed that he died last month and none of us knew until now. Crying or Very sad RIP my Japanese brother. You will solely be missed.

I'm sure it was very hard for the family and friends, and they probably wanted it to be kept private. I'm also positive this isn't the first time that this sort of "late" reporting regarding someone's passing.

I can't really say I'm a fan of Dokuro-chan, but I'm sure the illustrator enjoyed drawing for it and had a nice life while it lasted.

R.I.P. You will be missed.

I think we need like a huge fanart tribute to this man by drawing fanart based on Dokuro-Kun series and tag him with the hashtag #TorishimoRespect and give him some honor that sadly had been made fun of due to him being known for that light novel of the same name. I think some of the bigger artists on DA and Tumblr should know this ASAP!

Not a fan of the series but I know he will be missed by his fans. Always sad when an author passes away.

I think because he was a somewhat famous person, privacy issues take priority. If it was just a regular taxpayer, you might here about them listed soon in a local newspaper obituary.
