You know what is a good soccer movie, Shaolin Soccer. It ain't exactly anime. It's really a Hong Kong action movie. But it is a good soccer movie nun-the-less (even though it isn't anime).javascript:emoticon('Wink')

Shaolin Soccer. Ha ha. Yes, it was quite funny, but that's about all there is to it. Plot? Nah. It's just Stephen Chow indulging in his love for martial arts and he's a fan-boy of Bruce Lee. See how he imitates Bruce in many ways?

And the fact that they made that character have this special ability to fly (in Chinese we call it Qing Gong). But again, I say, not much plot to talk about.

yes that is funny but see movies like this distract me from the plot, i laugh at the stupid things the creators coem up with. they were playing soccer and a guy does a dance move. and the bruce lee guy was funny, just looking at him makes me laugh.

Just cause it dosen't have a good plot line dosen't mean you can't enjoy it. I mean just look at Azumanga Daioh.

Soccer anime eh? Well, I only know of 3 titles:

Captain Tsubasa original, Captain Tsubasa World Cup 2002,
which are good. The best is a rare series called:

'Dragon League'

which never aired in the U.S., dealing with fantasy, super moves, love and of course... dinosaurs! Good luck trying to find it though, since I've never met anyone who has it, and believe me, I've looked.

Yes, it is, and it's quite good. If you can find it, you should watch it. Deals with a middle school soccer team made up of mostly average players who work hard to improve.

Captain Tsubasa original was great never missed that show when I watched it in Mexico a few years ago. That series was extremely popular in Mexico it was known as Super Campeones (Super Champions in english). Never seen the New Captain Tsubasa series I know it's being shown in Mexico hopefully I'll get to see it.
