I'll probably get the light novels (which are supposed to be much better) first and wait for the DVD boxset. Manga volume one seems to be out of print (so soon?) and going for more than $100 on Amazon Marketplace, so I'll be passing on it unless I can find a reasonably priced copy.

I don't know if there is such a thing as ESP over state lines, but as Nagisa as my witness, my thought about this volume of SP, and the series in general, is that it is a guilty pleasure. And there goes the reviewer, saying the same thing.
Yes, I realize it maybe not be at the same level as Maria Watches Over Us. It's more like a trashy romance novel, but instead of Fabio and some woman on the cover, it's Shizuma, leaning over and holding Nagisa.
I do not know how it is going to turn out in the final episodes, but I guess nothing is earned by having it go too easily. Shizuma's emotional turmoil was honestly surprising, considering how she behaved up to this point.
It's been an enjoyable series so far and I'm looking forward to see how it plays out.

Doh! I was hoping for more of Sexual Harrassment Girl!
Seriously though, this volume improved the story to a level where it almost did not feel like a guilty pleasure as the review stated.
They got me to bite on 4 releases so the fifth is a given at this point.

Going by the Amazon listing, volume 1 came out December 2007, so less than a year. Fortunately both Anime Nation and Robert's Anime Corner still have it for around retail price (or less), though that's not as convenient as being able to order from a local comic shop (should try anyway; worse that'll happen is that it doesn't come in if Diamond doesn't have any stock). I was wondering why Right Stuf didn't have it, then I remembered the reports that Seven Seas' yuri line wasn't doing so well. So when I came across a copy of The Last Uniform Vol. 1 at Power Books, I bought it even though I hadn't been planning to get it.
