I think you left off one of the more important pieces of information about the series: it will be directed by Tatsuo Sato (Nadesico, Stellvia, Shingu).

Could be overly girly, could be yuri moe-y, could be a disgrace to the concept of space pirate anime, could be played straight and serious, or maybe it'll just be fun.

I look forward to seeing where this series goes; might even end up wanting to find the LN somewhere.

Wow. Looking at the staff list on the encyclopedia entry, there is an incredible amount of popular and up-and-coming seiyuu for this show. Yui Horie, Kana Hanazawa, Haruka Tomatsu, Rina Satou, Keiji Fujiwara, Mariya Ise, Satomi Satou, Rikiya Koyama, Chiaki Omigawa, Youko Hikasa, Shizuka Itou, and it just keeps going.

I'm definitely checking out the first episode for this.
