I was never a big fan of PoT, but I'm surprised that it had quite the run that it did. 40+ volumes is a very successful run, means you had a dedicated fanbase behind it. I'm wanting to get into Muhyo and Roji, and now that it's finished I'll know how many volumes I have to get for sure now.

OH Prince of Tennis. More of a "stop" than an actual "end." It feels like Konomi was just like "UGH, I CANNOT draw another freaky physics-screwing tennis match. I wanna go hooooome!" or something.

Good lord - PoT was still being produced? WOW... Yeah, time to put this one to bed - holy cow - cant believe he could still draw that after all this time and still be fresh!

So the prince eventually grew into a giraffe? Anyway, surprised[or maybe not] about Muhyo. I figured the author had at least 20 volumes in him.

The PoT ending was so terrible, it made me LOL so badly.
You can add that to the list of completely inaccurate portrayals of Americans (pretty much the whole manga). |

haha that's debatable. The manga kinda died after the rikkai matches, and the ending was predictable as hell @.@ |

Prince of Tennis will always be a sports manga classic. Good to see it finally reach a conclusive ending after 40+ volumes.
Hopefully this opens the way for Hunter x Hunter to continue regular serialization without constant interruptions? I really just want HxH's current arc to finally come to an end so the story can start moving forward already. |

That or them bringing in newer series to replace the ones that just finished. I was the HxH would make up his mind though, we keep getting this on and off thing, and very soon it's going to start annoying me. It's been a very exciting read, and I sure would like to see what happens in volume 25, if it should ever come out. |

The HxH delays are due to the creator's health problems, not because of space issues, so I doubt these two series ending will change much. The timing is sure interesting though. I wonder if both series simply reached their planned conclusion or if Jump canceled one or both of them and decided to end both in one issue to boost sales? Either way, I'm interested to see what will replace them. |

Well The Prince Of Tennis did have a good run, but only had a real solid fan base in Japan. Here in America however, the situation is totally different. It didn't receive as much of a roar of applause when it first reached our shores.

Really? While the anime probably wasn't exactly a big seller, then manga has been released every 2 months snice it started, and is up to volume 23 or 24 right now, alredy putting it in the second half of the story. That has to mean that the manga has been a pretty good seller. |
