Steve Conte... well-known vocalist of Yoko Kanno. He's done many songs composed by the legend, from "The Garden of Everything" (w/ Maaya Sakamoto) to "Living in the Shell". However, how do you say his last name properly? I've never seen it with an accent above the 'e'. So, I don't think it'd be pronounced with an "-ay" at the end. So, does that mean its simply said as I'd imagine (along the lines of a word not best said on the forums...)?
The last thing I want to do at school is introduce a song, and say something stupid. Plus, I'd obviously like to be correct in the matter. Thanks in Advance.

It should be pronounced "Cont" as the "e" is silent. So with that in mind be careful how your accent might pronounce it. Especially if there are women about.

Heh, I'd rather mispronounce it than take that risk.

Well, I don't have much of an accent, so I suppose I best not freeze up when announcing his name. Thanks.

Probably 'Con-tee', the way it's meant to be pronounced in Italian.

I'd pronounce it 'Conn-té'.
