I don't know of any specific to J-Rock, but you should be able to find some scattered among these streaming JPOP sites:

Japan-a-Radio
Live365 (and Ataru's very own Woot Anime Radio)
Shoutcast

And if you'd like some video with that music, try Avex TV or Morrich.

Actually, Japan-a-radio only has J-pop, and not J-rock. However, if you want to check out some J-rock bands, you can go to B-Stream Music (Japanese only). They have songs available for RealOne/Windows Media streaming. Hope that helps!

Mac users have a J-pop station open in the Itunes radio section under international.

Lame as it might sound, check out MP3.com. There are a ton of JRock bands there, including the brilliant Adenosine Tri-Phosphate.

Also head over to http://www.iuma.com/ and you can search by country. There are lots of downloads there, too.

Ganbatte!

www.jpopmusic.com/forums/

you can post requests there and it seems like the people have a lot of songs. i think, though that for a lot of them you have to download and combine files...?

but you can get mp3s and what not too.

[EDIT - WMA site - C]

that's ^ only if you're interested in L'arc~en~ciel's music...and member's solo albums and stuff.

[EDIT - Please do not post links to sites containing MP3s, WMAs, or similar files where they do not explicitly say they have permission to do so. Thanks. -C]

That actually isn't true. They have quite a bit of J-ROCK, just not the harder stuff.

You may also want to try looking on IRC (Internet Relay Chat) for some Anime Radio stations. #aar on irc.mircx.com is a good place to start.
