hi!
i've just made an account in last.fm and i need help with tagging some anime songs. i know that it's not that important, but i'd like to tag them properly so that i can find similar songs easier when i feel like listening to them. first song is Nahji no Uta from Senrei no Moribito OST. any idea how to tag it, as to the genre? for me it sounds a bit like traditional chinese music, but since i don't much about music... next song is Romance from Noir OST 1. it has this french flair, so i listened to some french cafe with accordion but they're very different. Romance is mostly acoustic guitar with accordion... anyone knows what genre is this kind of music? |

I normally just tag anime music as "Soundtracks" in my library. I have way too many genres ranging from rock to pop to jazz to classical to folk to synth. So to avoid all the labeling, I just end up going with something generic.
But, if you really want to label them, I haven't heard any of Moribito's music, but I would call Romance something along the lines of "acoustic," "instrumental," or whatever European country you think it hails from. The thing about Kajiura, though, is that her music comes from a lot of different European styles. You can use this page to try and rummage through the different genres, or Kajiura's entry to maybe find something based on what other people say. |
