Is Hiroyuki Takei still doing Ultimo? If he is, is he taking a break from that to do this, or is he now doing double-work?

This short manga is not supposed to complete the story of SK, right?

Then when the story is going to be completed, if ever? What the authors says about it?

Leading up to a big event?

GASP!

Maybe a sequel series. I can hope, right?

That would be spectacular, as much as I enjoyed the anime.

That said,

Viz Media publishes Takei's Shaman King and Ultimo manga in North America.

Publishes? As in, present tense? I can't see this as being correct unless ANN knows something we don't, since Viz published SK's 32nd volume awhile ago, so unless they're referring to the Kanzen Ban editions...? *hopeful*

Personally, I'm hoping this "Big Project" is spoiler[a continuation of Shaman King: Hana's Epoch, since I felt that had loads of potential to cover ground the original couldn't.]

He's actually doing two series at once right now. Ultimo in Jump SQ and Jumbor in Ultra Jump, so with this one shot, that makes three 30+ page chapters for one month. Quite a workload.

Is the "Big Project" gonna be another anime remake?

i really hope it is since the shamen king anime stopped following the manga at around where spoiler[lyserg left the group] so it would be a good move too remake it and its certainly populer enough though if there will be a remake i wonder if NAS will do it like the first series or another studio?

Extra chapters? I am only up to volume 20 so I don't know this, are there chapters missing from the end that have not been published?

I enjoy Shaman King and Ultimo but I think I need to have read the whole series to give an opinion on whether a sequel series is a good idea.

I couldn't get into the anime as the voices annoyed me too much. Mainly Ren's english accent.

OMG OMG DIES OF LOVE!!! I've been waiting for the next chapter of Hana's epoch! Oh, and for those of u who don't know, there was one last volume that concluded the series that was not released in America. No matter the ending, I still support RenxMari!

Big project = ...Ultimo anime?

I hadn't heard of Jumbor before. He's one busy man. His art style looks like he draws really quickly though.

What happened was that Hiroyuki Takei was pressured by Shonen Jump to finish the series as it was sagging in the opinion polls, giving him a few chapters to finish up, despite him having plenty more ahead. Takei rushed together an ending and published it.

That is a bit of a disappointment. Are these chapters available online somewhere? Is it best to get to a certain part in the published volumes and then read what wasn't published?

Thanks

Well, no matter where you look, you're going to find the unintended and rushed ending, as that's the only ending published thus far. That's why you see all this enthusiasm that Takei is back at work on the series: People want to see how he was truly going to end the series.
