... And I thought those commercials with the eternally-smiling people were... odd (I think that's a different company, though...)

Japan gets manga, we get 5 guys singing "Viva Viagra."

Japan has all the luck.

something i saw today at my work (Borders),
in the college test sections, there was 3 manga titles, Warcraft and 2 others.

basically, it was a vocabulary study guide.
you read through the manga, and every time a big word or odd word came up, on the side of the page was a definition.
these manga were a little bit bigger than normal ones, so they can fit the definitions. i thought it was the funniest thing in the world.

Oh, I've seen those too. It's actually a pretty clever idea in my opinion. I know I've learned more from my "for personal enjoyment" reading than I have from my "educational" reading. (Though that might have had something to do with the fact that most textbooks are written as if a feeble minded squirrel were the target audience.)

Anyway, as to the subject at hand, does anyone else think that there might be fewer cases of Mr. Floppy if there were fewer ads for Viagra around? I think they're giving healthy men psychological problems.

And why do we here in the US get the creepy smiling guys that, if you ask me, look like the type to pounce on women and children if you take your eyes off them, but the Japanese get manga? I'm insanely jealous.

So I guess when your controversial political manga gets shafted, the only job open for you is for Viagra? OUCH.

Wow, this is amazing. It'd be as if Elie Wiesel was suddenly tasked to write for the Penthouse Forum.

Kuni ga Moeru is one of the most influential and outstanding examples of historical revisionism in Japanese popular culture today. Just as most kids in American schools have to read the Diary of Anne Frank, the Japanese public should have been able to read Kuni ga Moeru.

Hahahaha, that kind of manga's more than just the hentai. It includes the "sex education", though! Cool
