Well I'm new so hi and w/e
Just want to ask if any one knows and good anime with good music like Beck: Mongolian Chop Sqaud or FLCL, etc. Personal I think when a song plays during some point of the show it sounds better than when you downloaded just the .mp3 and play it over and over again. So yeh...thanks to the people who suggest some of the good stuff.

So far the best soundtrack for anime I have experienced thus far has without question been Samurai Champloo's soundtrack. If you want some tunes to relax to no doubt this is ambience hip-hop without lyrics, perfect for when your throw back some drinks and relaxing to hookah. Watanabe enlisted an armada of dj's and mixer's to match the awesome art.
There are 5 albums with different artists:
1.Departure-Nujabes and Fat Jon *****-5 stars my fav.
2.Impression-Nujabes, fat jon, and Force of nature***
3.Playlist-tsuchie and fat jon****
4.Masta-tsuchie and Force of nature****
5.Katana-American release of an assortment of the previous 4 albums.
Overall all 5 are amazing, relaxing, and easy on the mind. Enjoy!

Fullmetal Alchemist has some great music if you like orchestral stuff. I'd highly recommend buying those OSTs. Along the same lines, I'd also highly recommend the Kannazuki no Miko OST and the Samurai X (Rurouni Kenshin): Trust and Betrayal OVA OST. Those are my favorite anime OSTs. All of them are very orchestral (which is something I enjoy) and have many beautiful pieces. I like to listen to them when I want to relax.

I think it's hard to name an anime with music that's just as good as BECK's and FLCL's.. Add The melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya to that list. The insert songs from episode 12 are good too.
Looks like you're a j-rock fan as well, but let me recommend Samurai champloo's soundtrack. I just started to watch it, and at first I didn't think I wouldl like the music since I am a rocker at heart, but turns out the music there is pretty good. It's not all hiphop/rap. The ending song was a bit bossa nova..
