I know its forbidden to start up discussions on anime but I also know that if the series is new that I can start one. That and it seems like there aren't many threads on this particular anime so this thread should be safe from lockage (if you accept that as a word).
Anyways on to the topic at hand: Nodame Cantibile. I have only watched 1 episode and already I have fallen in love with this series. From start to finish episode 1 never let up for me. Everything from the intro to the ending lines kept me interested. Even though the music is classical (which isn't my preference) I enjoyed it very much. The pieces they played in the episode were just pleasing to my ears and the fast pace got me tapping my feet along to the music. Its quite surprising since I try to stay away from classical music but now......I've taken an interest in classical music. Theres also the opening and ending themes which I instantly fell in love with. My favourite being Konna Ni Chikaku De by Crystal Kay. I couldn't stop listening to that song and had to repeat the ending animation several times before I stopped listening to it and actually searched for the song myself. Well thats enough for the music as I should talk about the other aspects of the show. The next thing that caught my eye was the quality of the animation, which in my mind was comparable to the animation quality of BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad (another series that I love to death because of the quality soundtrack, characters and animation). I just found myself in awe at the quality animation of Nodame and Chiaki playing the piano. I literally hadn't seen something that beautifully animated since watching BECK and I just couldn't take my eyes off it. 3rd of all were the characters of Chiaki and Nodame. Though Chiaki comes off as a snobbish character you generally come to understand why he acts like that. However his personality and character are the perfect ying to Nodame's yang. Nodame in my mind is one of the most unique characters that I've had the pleasure to watch. Though it has been only one episode from what I've seen I can tell that she will be an unforgettable character much like Morita Shinobu of Honey & Clover is (for me at least). Anyways thats all I can say about the series so far since I've only seen episode 1. I'll add more posts about each episode as I watch. "Believe it!" - Naruto "Ya~ Ha~!" - Hiruma - IchigoK90 |

Better to keep all discussion of recent series to one thread, I think.

... there's never been a time where anime discussion threads have been forbidden, ever. I don't know where you got that silly idea... but that's the point of this entire forum. What is forbidden is mindless idiocy, vanity threads, and all the other idiotic things forbidden by the Teh Rules here.
This would be fine, but there's another thread that's really recent, so let's stick to that one for consolidation's sake. EDIT: Oh wait, it has the exact same name... |
