I read the nominees for best animated feature best animated feature. Paprika wasn't nominated.
They are: Cars Happy Feet Monster House I saw Cars. I know that monster house uses the same mo-cap technology as in Polar Express. |

Well, can't say I'm really all that surprised. Any anime that isn't Miyazaki has very little to no chance of ever being nominated. It's a shame too because while Miyazaki films certainly are entertaining and Miyazaki is one of my favorite anime directors he's hardly the be all end all of anime and there's so many other wonderful anime directors that more people should give a try.
