Is this any good? Does the guy really learn anything?

I too was morbidly curious how the story continued because I don't think the anime adapted very far into the LN, but I also found the MC so insufferable by the end that I'm not sure if I want to see how it continues.

I was also unsatisfied by the anime. It had some genuinely nice moments (Kawasegawa's airport speech was my favorite), but was rushed and relied too much on telling vs. showing.

Interested to see if it will get a 2nd season now that the source material has wrapped.

Interesting. Just started watching the anime and am 5 episodes in. Absolutely loving it. Especially after hearing Nakano sing God Knows during the festival. Already a 10/10 from me.

Might wanna hold that thought. It doesn't maintain quality throughout.

Funny, I didn't really get into the show until ep.5 and "God Knows." The subsequent episodes were great, but the last couple were rushed and the conclusion, as mentioned, was unsatisfying. I think an S2 would help.
