How fitting that Ultraman and Gridman debut in the same game.
Also, that last attack from the third trailer... now all the people who haven't read GaoGaiGar vs. Betterman can be just as hyped as the ones who did. |

It's a bit odd that Iron Blooded Orphans, which has been one of the most requested titles since X, is only coming as a DLC addon, presumably meaning it will have little or no interaction with the story.
I wouldn't mind if they ditched the Gundam Universal Century and Mazinger stuff for one installment and did a few of the new franchises. |

To be fair, Iron-Blooded Orphans is on the ongoing Mobile Game Super Robot Wars DD, and it has its plot adapted there. Keeping it as a DLC here is probably to avoid an overlap, since, being a Mobage and all, DD covers the plot of its series one piece at a time. On that note, the DLC also shows the Gundams from the second season, which DD still hasn't reached, so it may also be a "preview" of sorts. As for your other request, there are some games without UC Gundam: J, W, K, L, UX, and NEO. Mind you, excluding NEO (which is a Super Robot only game and thus only has G Gundam), every single one of those has a Cosmic Era Gundam, which is close. There is no game without a Mazinger, but UX did replace the classical Mazinger continuity with Mazinkaiser SKL, making it the only SRW game without Koji Kabuto. |

This is why I want to buy the PS4 version R1. The custom soundtracks for the DLC. Ultraseven needs “Ultraseven no Uta” for his attacks.

With Ultraman being announced and the size of the roster so far, I'm really starting to wonder how big this game is. Doesn't it look like it'll have way more content compared to the recent games?

Iron-Blooded Orphans was the first Gundam show I ever watched, so it's cool to see it represented in a console SRW game IMO.

wondering if only Barbatos will be there, wish if Orga and the rest of Iron Blooded Orphans are there in the game.
Best addition for me would be Sanger and Elzam (Daizengar and Trombe) |
