How come the My Hero Academia movie from last February is not considered? Not that I think it deserves to win, but I do think it at least deserves to be considered.

Doubt any of them will even get the nomination. I'm so jaded after reading about that Oscar voter who only cast for the movie his kids liked the most.

If I had to bet on any one, it'd prolly be Earwig. Not based on the merits of the movie, but based upon the fact that it's a Studio Ghibli movie. However, I don't think any will get niminated.

It's probably an even longer shot than a certain WSJ adaptation, but I really want Lupin III to steal the Oscar. That was a good-looking movie.

Non-stand alone movie almost never got considered and the studio will rarely care for admitting it to the Oscar. Unless it does something extremely exceptional like broke all the record of the industry.

It wasn't even that remarkable a Lupin adventure, it just looked good.

If any of those are going to get an oscar it would most likely be Demon Slayer, but I'm not holding my breath on it honestly cause I think the last anime film that got one was Spirited Away.
