The opening doesn't really reflect the tone and atmosphere the trailer was trying to set. Anyways based on the synopsis and trailer, this looks really boring. Will there be any vampire or werewolves? Needs something to spice it up.

I think this maybe the first anime to depict the Catholic Church in a genuine positive light.

This series reminds me of anime in the early 2000s.
...Or maybe that's because the original character designs were made by the one who illustrated Trinity Blood?

^^ I consider the early 2000's (specially 2003-2004) the absolute golden era of anime so that's pretty neat for me

Indeed, that's what got me most curious about this one. While a more realistic or measured fantasy series about the Catholic Church would be interesting for an anime, I imagine this'll be a good deal more fantastical, which can be fun too.
One thing's for sure, I could get used to clergy dressing like that.
