Wait, this is a reverse harem? I don't have a problem with that, but it doesn't strike me as being one.
This is my favorite show of the season so far. It's over the top, but in a good way (at least for me). I found it interesting that in episode 2spoiler[we actually see the memory that triggers Mozart's Musik, but not Beethoven's. I'm tempted to do some research to see what could have triggered it.] |

I wasn't aware ClassicaLoid was a reverse harem either. It doesn't feel like one. But aside from that, I'm digging the weirdness of Beethoven and Mozart. Can't wait to see the other ClassicaLoids.

ClassicaLoid is so far a really fun ride and I do hope it stays that way. It's not laugh-out-loud funny or ridiculous, but like the review says, there's a lot to love here.
Also Beethoven's characters design is pretty much spot-on, it's honestly genius. I'm not that much into classical music (though some Bach at times is quite nice), but I do like the show's rearrangements. The rearrangement in episode 2 is fantasticly cheerful, I can't get enough it. |

I absolutely love this anime. It's hilarious, well animated, not to mention colorful. It also helps that I enjoy classical music (even with a rock twist).

I heard what this show was about and just HAD to sit down and watch it with my sister, a music teacher. Needless to say we both got a kick out of it so far, and now she wants to show it to her non-anime music friends just to confuse (and likely horrify
 ) them. I am not as well versed as she is, but she makes sure to keep me informed on what she feels works or doesn't for each composer. So I'm glad this exists if for no other reason than it's a show we can enjoy together (usually I am recommending things I have already finished to her). Doesn't hurt that it's actually quite fun and colorful, too!

I was one of those people waiting for months when this show was announced more for the fact that Fujita, Yoichi was directing it and the absurd anarchic PVs I had seen. After two episodes except for a overuse of stills in episode two the series has been really enjoyable. I can only hope that latter episodes might Wagner into the picture as that would neat.

Even for a 2-cour show*, the first 2 episodes weren't really revealing anything. I like the inclusion of the composers' work into the OST, and the show will have "take it up a notch" to catch my attention.
* According to the official site, the first home-media volume will include 4 episodes, with the subsequent 7 remaining volumes having 3 episodes each. Total of 25 episodes. |

I also wouldn't consider it "reverse harem". Sure, it has the "a bunch of guys moving in with a girl" element, but that's about it. Mozart loves all the girls equally while Beethoven definitely seemed more interested in gyoza than our heroine...
Anyhow, i'm loving this so far. Those "Musik" sequences look fantastic and i'm looking forward to meeting the rest of the composer gang.

I watched the first episode... Somehow I got through the whole thing. I had no idea what in the world I just watched, but then I heard and saw "Great Bach-sama" and it was all worth it.

Episode 4 is so far my favorite. Schubert is a great character and his obsession with Beethoven is amusing. I can't get enough of "Beethoven-senpai", that just cracks me up, lol.
Pretty much the whole episode was great from start to finish, it was never boring. A real shame not that many people are watching it. |

This has been on thin ice from the beginning for me, but this episode might've saved it. I really enjoyed Schubert's journey. But this totally made the episode:

^Keeping kids in cages up to a certain age seems like a smart enough concept, i definitely approve
I'm really enjoying this show (and the reviews!), but what's with the food obsession in anime this season?! Inbetween watching this show, Yuuri!! on Ice and March Comes in Like a Lion, i'm constantly craving variuous Japanese food (funnily enough, the show with Udon in its title hasn't really been much about food so far...). But back on topic, Schubert-kun was adorable. I hope he'll find his way back to Beethoven-senpai soon.

I agree 100% with the reviewer - Episode 4 was, dare I say, legitimately good.
Schubert taking the role of being the actual composer lost in the modern world which is completely foreign to him, and all of the references to the Erlkönig... LOL were all great! Also the music wasn't synthesized! They should make more episodes like this! |
