This is incorrect. OnoD has not worked in Kouchi as a tour guide. He is a sightseeing special envoy (観光特使) for the prefecture, but it's more a title than anything. |

Actually, 観光特使 is not a tour guide. 観光特使 (lit. tourism special envoy) is a kind of "ambassador" who does PR stuff for a region (in this case, Kōchi Prefecture) in order that the region can attract tourists. The local government of Kōchi Prefecture appoints people such as literary writers, actors (including Ono Daisuke), singers and the like as 観光特使 and asks them to do PR stuff for Kōchi Prefecture via their activities, for example, novelist Arikawa Hiro was appointed as 観光特使 and she wrote a book about Kōchi Prefecture. |
