Given the price, I dont think it will succeed.

Shocked It's even more expensive than the life sized Megumi from a few months ago.

^Judging that for the aforementioned Megumi, they had to double production to meet demand, I imagine this one will have some takers as well

This life-sized figure of Momo-chan is gorgeous! Smile However, at nearly $23,000, only the luckiest person with a huge wallet will be able to buy it.

For the maker or the buyers? The former probably money, the latter probably...well just look at the outfit.

All joking aside, while I don't know who bought the Megumi ones, one possible reason floated was vendors of Anime, Manga, and related merchandise looking for things to draw customers to their stores. I imagine a life sized statue in bridal themed lingerie would pique people's interest

We've seen this figure before. I think it was a convention photo.

I would buy it if I had the money. Momo is my favorite anime character along with Mashima Taichi.

Title is wrong, you are not winning a prize, you are winning an opportunity to purchase.

If I had money to throw away, I would get her. Though I would have to have a special room to keep her. One with a lock, to keep out unwanted kids and noisy relatives.

If I'd had money to burn I would without a doubt jump at the chance to get that sexy Momo lingerie figure but sadly I do not have money to burn. Crying or Very sad

Of course, that'll come down to if having this statue in the store will increase money coming in by 2.5 million yen or more. I don't know much about how these stores function, so I wouldn't know.

Probably won't be vandalized though; I don't think vandalism is that common in Japan.

A lot of collectors items have really inflated prices. Though I'll bet the reason this thing costs more than many cars is that each of them is crafted by hand and checked down to the micrometer for accuracy and for defects. These are skills not everyone can do, so the price of labor is ludicrously high. I'm guessing that based on the fact that they're making only 10, as this is likely the number of statues the craftspeople have time to make.

One thing for sure, whoever buy those life size anime figures are not going to meet real "3D" women in future. Personally, it's more sexier if one's girlfriend or wife be in lingerie with matching character wig.
