It might be worth noting that this isn't Morimoto's first music collaboration. Twenty (!) years ago he directed the video for Ken Ishii's "Extra," and Ishii used some of the art from the video on a number of his releases.

Koji Morimoto = Best animated music video director.
To me, Koji Morimoto is the artist among artists. His animated music videos are poetic visual representation of music at purest sense. Plus, he is also a DJ himself. His animation doesn't reek manga-based imagery of typical Japanese animation and it's more accessible to audience who are not anime fans. When he was at J-Pop Summit 2015 in San Francisco, he was very candid with his creative process and explained how he translates musical note as visual. In my opinion, anyone who makes AMV should watch at least one of Morimoto's music videos. Main reason why I'm not big on AMV is that fans who consider themselves as animated music video maker still have not stepped up to make original music video with any visual medium (Live-action, 2D, 3D, etc.) |

That was quite a neat cover Mr. Morimoto-san has drawn.
The blue color scheme looks quite relaxing. |
