Wait a sec? Children of Men debuted in Japan first? Not that something like that hasn't happened before. It's just that this movie is one of my 'Holiday-Must-Sees' along with Pan's Labyrinth.

It could be your character encoding, or you don't have the japanese language pack installed, or even both.

"Start"--> "Control Panel"--> "Regional and Language Options"--> "Languages" tab--> check "install files for East Asian Languages"
That is, of course, assuming that you use Windows XP. If you don't, what are you waiting for?

Good to know something can beat Saw III, that franchise is a little juggernaut in the US, they already announced a four movie in the series schedule to be release in October 07. My bet is that it will be the same week leading to Halloween......just guessing

I agree with GATSU and Deltakiral, I am surprised it beat out Saw III, like Deltakiral said "its a little juggernaut in the US" I mean all my friends talked about seeing it and then some of them want to see it when it comes out. The ones who have seen it say it's the best horror flick ever...I have yet to see though. Anyways kudos for Death Note for staying on top.

YO!
if the movie is half as good as the anime or manga series, it definitely deserves to be first..
Especially because the Saw franchise is a piece of crap..
