Mm, already I can smell the delicious suffering Butch Gen the Butcher will wreak from this unfortunate cast... (And in case anyone thinks I'm 100% projecting here, see the footage between 0:44 and 0:53.)

With Shimura's character designs and Sawano's music, I am definitely in. Plus, Ono Kensho could get me to watch anything. I absolutely love his voice.
Randomly, I think it's interesting how Hanae Natsuki is popping up all over the place now. I heard him in Tari Tari and then nothing for a while (unless I just hadn't been paying attention), and now he's done or is doing a handful of lead roles. Good for him!

From the gist of the trailer, it looks like Earth humans versus humanoid alien oppressor/space colonist.
Let's see if he put the grim and darkness back in the mecha-high school genre or he have gone soft after Fate/zero.
As for the score, Sawano-san is re-using the score from Kill la Kill (which a combination between Attack on Titan and Guilty Crown) and a little bit a hint of Gundam UC. I bet he will employ the same combination of vocals like Kobayashi Mika, Aimee Blackschleger, Cyua, mpi, CASG and that rapper David Whitaker in his work. After this point, his music style slowly become a bit jaded if he stick the same formula in his future project.

Urobuchi is credited as the "Original Story" but Series Composition goes to Katsuhiko (Boku no Pico, Mirai Nikki etc)? That's kinda weird there since Urobuchi might not be doing the scripts himself after all. Probably Urobuchi plans out the major plot points, while Katsuhiko fills up the gaps in-between. There's probably much less Uro-butchering in this series I expect.

I was already planning on watching this but Ono Kensho? Say no more. I'm definitely watching this. So happy that he's finally getting more roles!

I would NEVER expect Takako Shimura designs to be found in a mecha series.

Well, this is the dream team we have all been waiting for. Sawano Hiroyuki is arguably one of the hottest music composer right now with his success in AoT and KLK. Then there is the well known director and writer pair.

Overrated composer strikes again. I'm gonna go ahead and say right now this will be the overrated anime of the year, or at the very least the summer of course.

Regardless if the anime turns out to be good or bad, I know that i'll be getting some great music.

This really isn't the sort of show I ever expected to see Takako Shimura's character designs in. It certainly gives the show a slightly more appealing look than the harder edged designs you typically get in stories like this.
I'll definitely put this on my "to watch" list.

Maybe, if you could call Fate/Zero overrated (which I don't).
If you want the most overrated of the year just wait until SAO2.

Probably Urobuchi's name is just there so Aniplex can use it for marketing purposes since it's a popular one these days.

Really cause from the trailer it just sounds like the same old rehashed blaring stuff. Sawano is beyond played out at this point. I've gone from really liking the guy to the point where I can't stand him in a little under 3 years. You can't force that much work on a single composer like Aniplex has tried to and expect them to continue to keep coming out with their best stuff every other season, which at this rate is what it's become like for Sawano.
