I've searched on many sites, but I could only find Kaiba available in dvd format. Are blu-ray editions available at all?

No official BluRay version exists at all nor likely will ever exist.

There seem to be torrents available in 720p. Wouldn't this imply that there is a blu ray version?

It's possible those are TV rips - just because an HD master exists and gets broadcast doesn't mean it'll be released to disc.

Well, that's quite a bummer. Anyway, thanks for the info.

They are in fact TV-rips. And even an HD broadcast doesn't mean the show was actually produced in HD. Many HD broadcasts in the early days around 2006-2008 were just station upscales of SD material and thus not all that different from / better than DVD. Fansubbers were often quick to jump on sources that looked halfway presentable in 720p to make themselves look cool and cutting-edge.

I think the term for the upped broadcast was Hi Vision or something.
