Recently I decided I wanted to buy the naruto uncut box set. Recently was all of three weeks ago. So I used the sites store listings to find myself the best price. The best price I found was on amazon. Which was the only site that had it for under fourty bucks.
Well I ordered it, and understood it would take a couple weeks for them to restock. Oh well I can deal, and I am saveing money. Well the shipping date passed, and today I got a email from Amazon. Saying you guessed it delayed again. Now they are expecting to ship my product around september 20th. Now I am a little miffed. Not sure with who, but I was really looking forward to watching naruto without haveing to FF through comercials. So I went on a crusade to find anyone else selling the uncut boxset. This is where it goes increadible. Everywhere I went except rightstuf is sold out. I am actually amazed sold out. Has anyone else actually seen a anime sold out so widely across the board. I would use Rightstuf, but my heart is still set on saveing some money, and at their prices it will cost me near fifty dollars to buy it since their shipping is not free. Anyway I plan to keep on searching, and if anyone has any ideas for a legit site selling it at a good price could you send a mail my way. Has anyone here ever seen a anime do so well as to be sold out at multiple sites. I personally have never had this much trouble getting a anime. [EDIT: Made your topic more specific. -TK] |

You REALLY need to change the thread title. I was sure this was spam before reading it, and you can't even tell it's about the Naruto box.
And 9/20 isn't that far away (less than a month). Just hold on a little longer and you'll get your Naruto. |

I have seen ton's of Naruto uncut box sets at Best Buy and my local comic store. They all told me that they had no trouble getting them. I wonder why Amazon does not have it?

A quick check at dvdpricesearch.com reveals about 6-7 stores with that boxed set, as low as $34. But hey, at least this means that some of the hardcore fans are supporting the show with their dollars, and many people predicted that wouldn't happen.

It's sold out at pretty much all of the stores anywhere in driving distance of me, and has been since it came out. The only other anime that I know has been sold out around me was Advent Children when it came out. But even then it didn't take this long to get them back in stock. I was somewhat interested in getting the box set... looks like I won't be getting it for a while though.
I'm guessing there probably aren't as many anime fans around Kansas City. Try living in SoCal. |

I saw a Naruto box set selling at a Borders Express yesterday. It's selling on the Borders website too. But that's through Amazon, so it might just end up being the same thing you ordered and you might just end up in the same situation you're in now.

I was really shocked that so many places were actually sold out. I did use the searches for sites, but most of the ones that did have it at reasonable prices made my skin crawl. The information was missing, and the like.
I also looked into Bestbuy which is not the best buy in this case they have it listed for over fifty dollars. I suppose I am going to have to wait. This will learn me to pre order when the next box set comes out. |

I know what you mean, I assumed that the thread was going to ask me to some herbal medicine or perhaps real estate sale....
I've seen the NARUTO boxset in several store, as of today. But then again I am not a Naruto fan so I just figured that there would be several boxset still available. Because I assumed that Viz would be printing a lot of the copies of this series. Was it(boxset) suppose to be a limited release? Till next time, Delta Kiral |

Do you mean the Naruto Uncut DVD Box Set 1 Special Edition or the Naruto Uncut DVD Box Set 1? Reading around, it seems the special edition is a limited release with a certain number produced. Here is another site that sells the Naruto box sets. Edit- Grammar |

That's funny. My Best Buy STILL hasn't gotten any in yet. I've been driving by every week when I buy CDs/DVDs and check. |

Wow, I guess it's a really good thing I preordered the box set...on July 3. Seriously, just that little preorder helped me to get the Limited Edition box set that Friday (I think it was Friday).
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the second one! |

I was thinking about picking up the first box set, but then stopped myself when;
A. My local Best Buy didn't have any in stock. B. I realised how many damn boxes I was going to have to buy by the time Naruto was over. C. My friend gave me some fansubs, he asked if I had Naruto, I said no, he gave me 5 DVDRs, Episodes 1-153. I honestly though he was going to lend me his Naruto Box Set 1 since he has it. I feel bad I can't support a series I like, but I know I'll buy the fighting games, 3 and maybe 4 for the GC, when they come out.... although I know I'll like the Japanese voices better than the English so I'm thinking about importing them, but I'm pretty cheap and I need to pay for college. I don't like the English voices on some of my favorite fighting games. Bloody Roar 4 and KOF Maximum Impact are 2 games where I thought the English voices were absolutely horrible. And hearing my favorite victory quotes translated, "Oreno Kashida" (I know the spelling is wrong since I've been corrected before) sounds so fruity in English. |

As if that will make up for the box sets you apparently will not be buying. |

Nothing against Naruto, but it's my personal policy not to buy DVDs when I have no idea how long a series is going to be...after all, the episodes are reaching 200 and supposedly beginning a long "part 2" sometime soon, so I don't want to be trapped in an endless cycle of buying sets when I don't know when they'll stop. (Not to mention the fillers...) So basically, I don't blame Joel too much on this one. |

Atleast I'll be buying some Naruto related product as opposed to nothing. Does it make up for the boxes? Not at all but it's still something. I've been watching Naruto on Cartoon Network, well I used to have Saturdays off, but have been missing it on TV since I close just about every saturday now, so I kind of see these as borrowed tapes. |
