I always see peoples avatars and I think, "Wow, that guy looks really cool, I wonder who he is?" I was wondering if, like you did for location, you could put a thing under their avatar that says Avatar and the person would write who they're avatar was. This would help also because I've seen people with their avatar in their location space so this way they could put their avatars name and show in it's own spot.

Well I, for one, am certainly up to the idea. It would save the hassle of typing my avatar info under my location each time. The one time didn't put any info most recently, I got a bunch of PMs asking who it was.
Sure there's the "What's your avatar?" thread, but with the addition of a little avatar indicator for each user we wouldn't even need it anymore (meaning less stuff to sticky  ). To the tech people, please consider it or at least give an explanation as to why not. Thanks.

I second the idea, although I don't change my avatar as often as most people. Someone PM me about the Koyori avatar I was using for the majority of 2005, and from that point I figured it would be best if I indicated who the character is (and from what anime) that I'm using as my current avatar. The only way to do that unfortunately is to type it on the Location section, which to me seems out-of-place. Despite that, though, I kind of wish more people would indicate what their avatar is because there are a ton of good-looking avatars on the ANN forums.

Noty a bad idea. The information needn't show up on every post (that would probably be a waste of bandwidth), but it could be an optional field on the user profile.

I also like this idea, seeing as there's people like Tony K., Pantsgoblin and myself that happen to change their avatars often, and it would save space for the location area too.

It probably is, but I think all of the staff are busy with conventions and other events at the moment. Not sure if there's a kind of "dead period" for cons, but if there is, they might be able to pay more attention then. We'll just have to wait and see.
