Well I'll look forward to this and Kana Hanazawa's role in this. The manga is really funny imo so hoping this will be adapted well.

Someone please shoot me.

Really? Hanazawa?! That's the best you could do?! Uggggggh. I know I might get murdered for saying this, but just because she's popular doesn't mean she should appear in EVERY SINGLE DAMN THING. I was really looking forward to this anime. Really! But if I have to deal with her voice every 10 seconds, I doubt my sanity will hold. I just really don't like her voice. It's scratchy, it's squeaky, it's crass.

Hiro Shimono may very well have the easiest seiyuu gig with this role considering that Seki does not talk in the manga and only makes random grunts and other emotional noises a la Mr. Bean. Razz

This show is definitely on my must-watch list considering how amazing the manga is.

OK I'll shoot you. Damn right about your preamble. Scratch, squeaky, crass? Are we even talking about the same seiyuu? I think Hanazawa Kana's voice is perfect for this. I'm not saying this because she's popular either (I didn't know she was popular enough to be designated as "popular" actually). Her fluffy voice is perfect for observational Rumi.

The original poster got a point, Japanese anime industry sometimes just relies on only one seiyuu to be everywhere, and I can understand this industry cannot take too much risks. Every now and then, it would be awesome to use different seiyuu at times when there are so many available quite underused.

And liking the seiyuu's voice? very subjective. I didn't really hear anything too special in Yoko Hikasa's voice but for some reason, she's another seiyuu seemed to be in a lot of anime.
