Even though a few of these votes may be influenced by current releases, im quite surprised of several movies which apparently didn't get lost in the auditions mind.

Interesting ranking of ghibli as well, even though im missing totoro, which id prefer over kiki i.e.

There are 20 people that I want to punch in the face.

Okay, maybe not. But still, 20 people said that the Nadesico movie is the "most amazing anime movie"? Why? Just trolling?

Happy to see Laputa and Cagliostro as the highest of Miyazaki's stuff though.

Apparently none of these people have seen Sailor Moon R.

Ugh, Utena? REALLY? The lesbian luge was amusing but not THAT amusing.

The lack of Air leaves me breathless. OH YEAH!

And yea, seeing the Nadesico movie up there is disturbing. What a piece of crap. At least the TV series is awesome.

That the Suzumiya Haruhi film is ranked on anything besides a "movies that should be burned in a pit" list horrifies me. It's been a year and a half and I STILL want a refund after watching that lugubrious POS.

This list is acceptable to me because.

Urusei Yatsura Beautiful Dreamer
Wings of Honneamise
Patlabor 1
Patlabor 2

All made the list.

Scratch that just noticed Totoro didn't make the list the single biggest selling anime movie ever how?

*slowly raises hand* actually the Utena movie is probably my favorite anime movie ever, because I think its beautiful. so I'm pretty happy it made this list

and the Sailor Moon R movie is one of my favorites too. (first subtitled anime I ever bought~<3) and sailor moon is my all time favorite anime, so I guess we just don't see eye to eye on this exactly, which is fine.
-----
also happy Urusei Yatsura made the list (even though I enjoy the "Only You" movie more, "Beautiful Dreamer" is the superior film)

yay to Summer Wars too! also an awesome movie :3

a little strange both Macross Frontier films made it, but DYRL didn't...oh well

Not my favorite anime movie ever but pretty close. Count me in among the faithful on that one.

No Detective Conan either, those are often well regarded.

It did do exacly what was asked of it (cutting filler + excess fanservice) and the franchise is still fairly big.

It's as you'd expect looking at MAL etc. over here. The other notable ommissions (besides Strong World and Totoro) are the Time of Eve movie and Grave of the Fireflies.

Many of the movies got the same number of votes so they have the same ranking number. "Crayon Shin-chan: Arashi o Yobu Mōretsu! Otona Teikoku no Gyakushū" and "Akira" each got 29 votes, which is why they are both #21 on the ranking.
