Whoever posted the new item, you may want to note that the DFT website changed the date and time to Thursday, Feb 9 at 7:00pm.

Thanks for the link. Finally something comes here to Michigan. I really would love to go. It says click here for tickets but then you can't find them, even when you search the specific date. If anybody does can they post the link?

My bet is the second lecture is in Ann Arbor, at University of Michigan Ann Arbor Campus. But that's just my guess.
Keep in mind Detroit detractors that for the vast part of the 20th century till the invaison of non-american cars "Detroit was the center of the Nation if not the World" (quote from one of my history profs). Us having a consulate also makes sense given the fact that the HQs for both Ford and GM are around here as well. -Gabe, Detroiter, and History Major |

Holy crap, something cool in Detroit!! WOO! I didn't know there was a Japanese counselate here either, but I suppose with the car business, it makes sense. Score one for living across the street from the Detroit Film Theatre!

I think it's still to early to buy tickets. They'll be available as the date draws closer. I wonder how much they're gonna cost though... hopefully no more than $20. |

Just to let you fellow Michigan residents know, tickets went on sale for the February 8 (Wednesday) show. Just follow the link posted above and click buy tickets then look up the specific date. The ticket price is $7.50 per ticket and if you order online there is $1.50 convience fee and you have to pick them up.
I did not see any details on the other show, it is possible its somewhere else, not the Detroit Institute of Arts. |

He's only speaking in two cities. He specificaly chose the cities though, so I have no idea why they were chosen. Perhaps he's visiting family, who knows.... -t |
