I only watch the anime. Can anyone who read the manga spoil this for me? Do Yoshimori and Tokine ever get together?

A Final Act would be awesome!
I am glad it's finishing, some Shonen Sunday manga NEVER seem to finish.

Wow, another longrunning series on VIZ's schedule comes to a close. Glad we're getting the anime here too..... I've ordered the first 3-in-1 volume and am looking forward to it.

Actually from what I've read thus far, Yoshimori and his mother are just about to finally seal Karsumori castle once and for all. However, the castle must be sealed from the inside and Yoshimori's mother Sumiko, offered to sacrifice herself to do this task. Even though he desperately tries to stop her and let him do it instead, she disappears and leaves Yoshimori seemingly to himself. This is during chapter 343 and that was released 3/28/2011.
So essentially, there is likely only two chapters left and the final chapter is likely to have the two together, if that actually happens at all. I personally think it might happen, but I am not entirely sure. All I know, is that the final chapter is going to likely be most exciting chapter in the entire series.
I've been watching the anime and reading the manga, so given the fact the manga is about to end, there is a chance the author is going to try to tie all lose ends before the series is finished.

Oooh. I LOVE Kekkaishi but it's been on my backburner since around chapter 300, guess I should start catching up now. Here's hoping the endings good!

I only keep up with the Viz releases, but everyone who reads it via scans said that it should probably end around now or it'll just be phoning it in if it tries to force another arc.
All good things must come to an end! I'll admit though, that I tend to get 3 or 4 volumes all at once since Viz is so frickin' slow to release them (I hope now they'll speed up a bit now, only 9 volumes to including 25, right?) So here's hoping it's a good ending!
I've been collecting it since 2005 or 2006, always happy to see a new volume though now Borders doesn't carry past vol 22 so I'll be ordering it online surely, but I hope it gets new fans, it's one of my favorites!

Your welcome, I am happy to help. I also been watching Kekkashi on AS every weekend. But to be honest, I like the anime more than the manga. It has Vic Mignogna and to be honest, the only reason I gave this series a chance is because his because he was involved in it.
Now I eagerly await for the newest episode of Kekkashi, as well as Bleach on Saturday.

This is very sad news , I was hoping the manga would never end .
(I have only read chapters 1-194 of the manga and have only watched Episodes 1-43 of the anime, though)

I used to read this manga every week but stopped around 320. I've started collecting the volumes though, so I'll probably finish it eventually.

Watched the anime several times already. Currently watching it subtitled on Animax Asia.
Only read up to volume 14 of the manga, though. Good to know there's an end in sight.

There are loads of arcs after the Kokoburo arc ends (Episode 52), so I highly suggest continuing to read the manga.

Oh.
I figured it was coming to an end soon but this is even sooner than I thought! I feel like I need more than 2 more chapters for proper closure. *sob*
