I sadly have no PS3, and I already own the Vita version, but I'll still buy it to support the Western release. It'll be extra incentive to get one in the next year or so.

Give it time, I'm sure it'll popup on gamestop, amazon, etc eventually. |

If this games does well in the west, I hope this may give Japan a reason to globalize J-pop and it can get as big as K-pop if J-pop can be promoted correctly.

Wait, what? What does Vocaloid have to do with J-pop? |

Also, I agree on Megi's question, what does it even remotely have to do with J-pop? >_> |

Well, when vocaloid sing a song in Japanese like in the video, it reminds me of J-pop. I'm a big fan of both K-pop and J-pop, but when I see Japan is not giving J-pop the same level of exposure or promotion like their Korean counterpart, it makes me sad. I wondered why Japan is not learning anything from their Korean counterpart when it comes to globalizing their music for international audiences. I like J-pop uniqueness and I want that to be exposed outside of Japan/Asia and get the same global popularity like K-pop has gotten. I mean finding J-pop MVs is hard on Youtube (some Japanese labels are putting J-pop music video on Youtube but they're not promoted heavily like their Korean counterpart). On Itunes, J-pop catalog is limited where for K-pop, you can find a lot of it, there's more K-pop then J-pop on Itunes. It's really sad because many J-pop artists/groups can compete and rivaled their Korean counterpart. J-pop group like EXILE and AKB48 could rivaled Super Junior and Girls Generation if both of them are promoted heavily on international scale. Arashi could rivaled SHINee, TVXQ, JYJ, and SS501. There's a lot of J-pop boybands like D-Date, Kanjani8, NEWS, KAT-TUN, Hey! Say! JUMP!, NYC, Kis-My-Ft2, Sexy Zone, and A.B.C-Z could probably rivaled K-pop one like U-KISS, 2PM, 2AM, MBLAQ, Nu'EST, BToB, B1A4, Infinite, Teen Top, ZE:A. Same for the J-pop girl band like Berryz Kobo, S/Mileage, Morning Musume, C-ute, Buono!, Passpo, Dream, E-girls, Tokyo Girls' Style, Super Girls, and Momoiro Clover Z could probably compete and rivaled their Korean counterpart like Wonder Girls, f(x), T-ara, Girl's Day, SISTAR, Apink, Spica, KARA, Secret, Ladies Code, Hello Venus, and maybe other on international scale. The J-pop group Flower would make an interesting rival with Nine Muses. I'm hoping if this game does really well in the west, maybe it could give Japanese music label to globalize J-pop (that and given K-pop is getting more popular worldwide, they can't keep J-pop in Japan forever). |

I just played the demo. Wow I must suck. I played easy and just barely passed on standard for 2/3 songs. The other song, Tengaku, I couldn't even beat on easy.
How the hell do you people play this game? |

I've owned the Japanese PS3 version since it came out - I'm actually kind of obsessed with it and have played it almost every day since I got it back in March. I can read Japanese, and since the english version doesn't seem to be coming with anything new, my one incentive to buy it was to get all my non-japanese speaking friends into it, which I actually really wanted to do - so I looked forward very much to the english demo - which I've since downloaded and played. I've got to say - even though I give the game itself an A+ I was not impressed at all with the english demo. It felt sloppy and lazy, like a bare bones fan patch. The font is terrible, they didn't even make an english version of the game logo, they changed the "Fine/Sad/Worst" rankings to "Good/Bad/Awful" and have them in different fonts which was disorienting, not to mention the lyrics at the bottom of the screen are just in romaji with no option for legit, english translated lyrics. They also changed the opening lines in "World's End Dancehall".... on the whole, I felt way less cool playing the english version..... Plus, switching O and X screws with my head X__X

Practice. It's all just timing, like how people play Guitar Hero or Rock Band. |
