Toriko continues to get ratings closer to the One Piece reruns than the premieres. Yikes.

Any way you could post next week's ratings as a spoiler like there has been in week's past? |

spoiler[Conan - 11.0 Hunter x Hunter - 4.1 Anpanman - 3.4 Uchuu Kyoudai - 2.1 Chihyafuru - 1.5 Sazae-san - 19.3 Chibi Maruko - 12.3 One Piece - 7.5 One Piece Rerun - 5.1 Toriko - 4.8 Doraemon - 11.0 Crayon Shin-chan - 10.1 Smile Precure - 5.0 Battle Spirits - 1.9 Saint Seiya - 1.1 Toriko's downfall is affecting One Piece too. Three 7s in a row (and in the winter season no less !), that's unheard of since like 2008 or earlier when the franchise wasn't as hugely popular as it is today.] http://uni.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/anime4vip/1357456219/882 |

Cool thanks! Not sure if the % are independent of each other but OP and Toriko might be lower because Vividred came into the fray with a 3.7% . If they are independent then maybe people just didn't feel like watching OP/Toriko that weekend maybe?
Great to see Hunter back to a 4% if only for a little bit because of the movie publicity. The true test is next week if it stays, rises, or falls back to its 3.X% range |

You're welcome. Ratings are independent unless two shows air back to back on the same channel (Sazae-san and Chibi Maruko-chan, Doraemon and Shin-chan, Toriko and One Piece, Pokemon and Naruto etc.). There is no way a show like Vividred which airs on saturday at 1.55 am will affect the ratings of shows aimed at a different target audience and airing over 24h later. That would be the logical conclusion if it was a one time thing but it's been 3 straight weeks already and in the winter season no less, a season which usually sees higher ratings for day time anime compared to the summer season (when even Chibi Maruko-chan falls in the 7s and 8s). It's also surprising in that I would have expected Z's huge success to boost the ratings. |
