There was some light conversation about this in the talkback section regarding NISA's replacement dvds, but I thought i'd make a new topic here due to how old that one was.
It seems in the last two days or so NIS has began to send replacement Remastered Toradora dvds out. Here is my experience. I received my replacements in a vanilla envelope. I was not expecting it and was not contacted through any email. Upon opening the envelope I found 2 Toradora discs inside some sort of sleeve with a cloth (not sure what kind) behind them. I popped them out to see if there were any scratchs. I didn't have any but it seems some people may have. I will note though my discs were rather dirty and had some smudge marks on them. NIS also included a small piece of paper with a note of apology + a number to call if there are any issues with your replacement . As for the dvds themselves I've only watched about 4-6 minutes of it , so keep in mind my small sample size. I don't know if it's some sort of psychological effect but I feel that my remastered discs looked a bit better and had better colors. I also could not notice any ghosting even with constant pausing. So overall I'm a happy camper. How is everyone else fairing? - Note - I was watching the remastered dvds on my PS3 on a 1080i LCD. I also did not notice any ghosting without pausing with my original copies. |

There's already been some discussion on this matter in this thread. In the interest of keeping all such discussion in one place, I'm going to ask that all further comments on this issue be redirected to that thread.
