I'm curious, is FMA Volume 26 the final volume? I'd like to know because I'm starting to buy them.

I wonder if the new volume of FMA has the gaiden in it that Arakawa-sensei said she was going to draw?

Yep 27 is the final volume. It is due to come out in November.
And no the gaiden is not in this volume. I would expect it to be in the final volume. |

Kuragehime should be published by Kondasha not Shueisha shouldn't it? It runs in Kiss which is a Kondasha magazine.

You know, I was chaperone for a group of junior high and high school students from Japan (via a Sister Cities program) and when we were at a library, they were fascinated by the manga section. One of the youngest kids asked me immediately where One Piece was, because he couldn't find it. You should have seen his crestfallen face when I told him it wasn't as popular as it was in Japan and that Naruto was the big hit over here.

Thanks. I was actually hoping for the characters on 24 and 25 to be on the spine soon since it's nearing the end. I'm following the Viz release so I'm not what 26's character looks like yet, so I guess I'll see.

Ah. Thanks for the heads-up. I'd expect that too, given the circumstances, then. Excellent, FMA never strayed into the "will it ever end?" territory like some *cough* medieval fantasy *cough* series. This is why I love Arakawa's works (Well, her own projects, at least). |
