Awesome simultaneous movie theatrical release. This is another way to help fight piracy I think.

Indeed, it's a great first step.
They were playing the 2nd movie on Japanese television tonight at the restaurant I went to with some other friends. I must admit, I didn't pay as much attention to the surrounding conversation as I should have. Not that drunken JET Programme English teachers are all that interesting anyway...
Anyway, it looked fantastic! I will undoubtedly be buying these DVDs.

Whence I get into this series, I would buy the DVD when it comes. I think one should first be into a series before buying it because you don't really want to buy something you don't really have an interest in.

As I've mentioned on several occasions, 20th Century Boys is my favorite manga, and based on what I saw in the first one, I'm looking forward to owning these movies on DVD.

Um... What? I think I agree in principle, but I'm trying to figure out what you're saying.

I have my tickets bought for the 3rd film. The first two were an excellent adaptation. It helps that Urasawa did the screenplay.
By the way the 1st DVD is set for a Nov 11 Us release.

Make sure you stay through the credits. There's about 5-10 minutes more of the movie after they end.

The Europe dvd release of the first film has been available since spring. And the copy I have says it's region 0 (don't know why on play.com and other sites it says R2).
