Unfortunately, it's not really grotesque at all, actually, it's quite tame. However, that's not to say that it isn't any good. It's really very good, with interesting characters and a complex, twisting story line.

Now, unless I missed something, is there a release date for the DVDs? Because I've been waiting to pick up this series since I watched the fansubs. C'mon Viz, you guys have been making us wait forever for Monster, Honey & Clover, and Nana. A person has to develop the patience of a saint to wait for Viz releases.

Surprised, and disappointed I am, to see what ANN wrote. Not very neutral, that passage is. Like Yoda, I speak. Mental illness, I have.

Anyway, using proper syntax once more (ah, 'tis good to be back), I was genuinely disappointed that anyone from ANN would write that. I mean, I've got nothing against Viz, but the tone to me sounded very biased towards Viz. Which sort of conflicts with the neutrality a news source should try and hold. That's my take on it.

Anyway, I'm happy that Monster is finally being aired in America, though unfortunately New Zealand misses out (no surprises there). The show airing on television every week would be a great excuse to finally get around to watching it.

Actually, that is the press release that Viz themselves authored. It's not the words of an ANN staff member. Just a friendly FYI Smile

I am looking forward to this a lot. I've heard nothing but good things about this show. Actually, any new anime on TV is a good thing.

You'll probably like it a lot more when the DVDs come out and don't have scenes cut out or commercial breaks interrupting sentences or giant guys with flashlights walking over the bottom half of the screen to let you know that Syfy has shows about hunting ghosts.

Ha ha! Yes, this is true. I'm sure the broadcast will whet my appetite for the uncut DVDs. It's definitely working on me regarding Gundam Double Oh.

I can deal with that. I also like suspense horror.
