Need help finding an unkown series!

OK here's the jist; about five years ago there was a television show on fox kids, I think, maybe WB. It goes something like this...
There's this woman, she has a tattoo on her arm, I think it was a nine. She dresses in black leather. Well she's in this city being chased by these thugs. They fight and when she defeats them, poof, they disappear leaving behind their clothes and a vile filled with a green liquid which she then drinks, something then happens to her, I can't remember what.
There is also this professor, I think he's also a cop, maybe. Well he stumbles on this, he finds a vile and takes it, while in his apartment he opens it and spills a drop, and it burns right through his floor.
During the day the woman dresses as a male teacher. The two of them become friends. He doesn’t know that she's a she when she dresses as a he.
That's about all I can recall on the characters.
One episode I remember clearly is something like this...
In a classroom the professor is teaching a class. He uses liquid nitrogen to freeze a ball, demonstrating the properties of ice, something like that. The woman disguised as a guy teacher is fascinated.
The 'bad guy', a kid who's father is some sort of evil guy, receives a present from his dad, it's a little creature with one eye, a tail, all fury, no limbs, it floats about, and it sucks the souls out of people if they look at it. Then something happens, it looks at a mirror and goes berserk. It goes through the city sucking souls and getting bigger. The woman tries to save her friend but only moments late. She then gets in her black leathers, takes the nitrogen and heads towards the creature. She somehow gets on top and then...
That's it. At that moment I had to leave the television, not knowing that that would be the last time I saw another episode. Please help me. I need to know the title so that I could try to get the dvd's or vhs, whatever. I have been searching for about a year now. But without a tittle it's no use. Please help me!

...why would anyone drink a vile of unknown green liquid that was left behind by some thugs when they disappeared? Rolling Eyes

I think the question you need to ask yourself is why wouldn't you drink the liquid. I know I would.

Now only if i could get it on DVD. Well another journey awaits.
