Well, generally you would need a writer and an artist to make a manga right?
But where do these people find eachother? If you can't find one around your neighborhood, where can you find them? Is there like a specific website that has artists and writers looking for a partner? |

Yes, I would also like to know this. I would like to write a manga but I can't draw very well, but I have good writing skills. It would be nice if there was something like that around.

Well have you tried looking around school? (if you still go to a school)
Because sometimes I try searching for people with great writing skills to work with. |

most of the time manga-ka write there own stories and draw the art but i have seen work being split up in the past . the internet can be a grate place to find writers and artists. a grate website too look for artists is deviantart. its pretty much a youtube but for artists. if you browse around you might be able to find a writer or artist to help you out. you might also benefit from posting stuff on forms that have to do with manga or art. good luck !

yes, i do know that you can find writers on the internet, and also find drawers on deviantart, but its not as simple as I thought/you said ; because i was trying to find a drawer on DA, but it would be pretty akward to just ask them out of no where, and these people on DA could be on the other side of the world from where you live.
so i was wondering in specific, and literally meaning the word "where" can i find them, if you know what im tryna say :/... |

http://www.digitalwebbing.com/ comes to mind. Really, any artist-centric forums and websites are good places to look.
Though really, the best thing to do is to just make comics. Between the cheapness of making photocopies minicomics to sell at AA tables or local comic shops, and stuff like webcomics, there's tons of options for the amateur comic artist looking to get some experience. Also, if you're an artist, writing your own stories is usually a good thing to try. If you're a writer, I'd recommend checking with your fannish friends and seeing who has aspirations, and seeing what you come up with. It sounds like you're a writer, so try looking around Artist Alleys at cons, and checking around your friends at school. I'd also suggest trying drawing yourself- even if you're not good, if you practice, you might be able to get good enough to feel comfortable trying yoru own webcomic [fyi- less pressure on professional looks there, as most webcomics are amateur works] |

If that's something you're interested in, even if you're a writer you're better off going to online art communities like deviantart and going to socialize with other anime artists.. same goes for looking for a writer as well. If you're interested in doing that sorta thing..
Otherwise using or joining a anime club would probably be the best alternative option, I'm pretty sure they have those in Japan as well. As some of the others said conventions are probably an alternative as well.. |
