Thought you'd made a purchase by now...
It's seams you've heard just about everything you'r about to purchase. Have you heard Dune from Laruku? Just curius about what you think about it.(If you have heard it) |

Dune is actually the only album that I haven't heard. I know I should've had some of these already but I ended up using the money I was saving for the 2nd Fullmetal Alchemist Artbook (manga), and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. So once again I have begun my journey on purchasing Japanese music online.

You could get ROENTGEN by Hyde, I really love it. And if you go to play-asia.com, you can get Laruku's ark and ray for $16 each. If you want their other CD's, you could go on ebay too, just make sure what you purchase is a product of one of L'Arc~en~Ciel's or HYDE's record labels (Ki/oon, DANGER CRUE, Tofu, Gan-Shin, or Haunted Records) and not a bootleg

I'm looking for the artist/s who sang See Saw (not the Jpop duo). I first heared it from an online radio who plays Jpop/rock and still haunts me.I think it was released around 2006.

I can't help on the artist(s) who sang "See Saw", I gues you're on your own for that one.
Well, I have some good news. Utada Hikaru's "Heart Station" is about to get its North American release, and I've pre-ordered it. I've already heard all the songs from it, and it's currently my favourite album I've heard in a long time. Which is a surprise because other than "First Love", her albums were divided into the amazing, and the average but this one is all around beautiful. I cannot wait to get it. I'm just really fixated on her at the moment, even rivaling L'Arc's spot as my favourite artist. Even though I made this thread mainly for me to pick up recommendations, I'm going to highly encourage all of you to check out Utada Hikaru's "Heart Station". |

If you can read Japanese, you can try this list. I don't see any likely candidates though. |

I have to say... I recommend everything by The Pillows. I recently bought Good Dreams while on vacation in Hawaii. I immediately snatched it, since it's quite rare to find in the US. Really though, there's a lot of goodness from them. I'm especially liking their latest single, Tokyo Bambi. At very least, I'd check out their stuff from the FLCL OSTs (it's classic).

Oh yes, I thoroughly enjoy their contributions in FLCL. "Funny Bunny", "One Life", "Carnival" among many others are quite awesome. I haven't heard much of their work that I liked outside of that though. Perhaps, I will look into the new single you mentioned. Thanks.

Well, I will put this out there...
I was on YouTube the other day and saw this The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya AMV. The song used is Candy Pop by the Heartsdales featuring SOUL'd OUT (I think). I believe it was issued as a single - any ideas on where I could purchase it? It is not on Amazon, BN, or even Ebay. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIjsPFYdkZY&feature=PlayList&p=3FC78D9B87750FDA&index=12 |

I recommend These Words (although it's actually an English album) and Home by Angela Aki. Angela has a wonderful voice and her music is soft yet catchy. I haven't listened to her album Today yet, but I'm sure it's like the others.
I also recommend really anything by HOME MADE Kazoku and Def Tech. HMK is more hip-hop/pop mix (at least to me) while Def Tech is Jawaiian reggae. Both, however, are excellent to listen to and have great meanings behind their music. If you want albums, I'd look for HMK's Musication and Familia and Def Tech's Catch The Wave. |

If you like music similar to Aki you could also try finding some stuff by Olivia (who did some of the nana soundtracks/music) and her sister Caroline (Murmurs is her only album i think, there may be a single out there too). Caroline is english and olivia does some in english and some in japanese. If you have a pandora radio account or want to try it out they do have some caroline music on it! |
