Yup. I'm still playing the game. I kinda wonder: Are titles like Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV allowed in this game? I faintly remember someone using Advent Children once, but are those considered anime?

Yeah. They're still animated in Japan based on a Japanese property for a Japanese (as well as an American) audience.
So stuff like Advent Children, the Resident Evil CG movies and the like are all fair game. |

If it's something like the original Transformers series where it was an American production that merely outsourced the animation to a Japanese studio then I wouldn't count it. But if it's Headmasters and beyond which were purely Japanese works then it's fair game.

In general, anything listed in the encyclopedia without a qualifier that would make it not anime (such as "live-action" or "U.S.") should be fine to use, but anything with those qualifiers shouldn't be used.
