Crunchyroll Streams Yuyushiki Schoolgirl Anime

Media distribution service Crunchyroll announced on Monday that it will stream the Yuyushiki television anime series. The website will stream the series on Tuesdays starting on April 9 at 4:00 p.m. EDT for members in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, and Scandinavia.
The series adapts Komata Mikami's original Yuyushiki four-panel manga. The story follows the school life of three girls in the data processing club: Yuzuko, Yukari, and Yui.
The main cast of the anime includes Minami Tsuda (Pretty Rhythm Dear My Future's Karin, Fractale's Phryne) as Yui, Risa Taneda (Oreshura's Kaoru yuui, Say, "I Love You".'s Asami Oikawa) as Yukari, and Rumi Ookubo (Pretty Rhythm Dear My Future's Mia, Yuruyuri's Chinatsu) as Yuzuko.
Kaori (episode director on Code:Breaker, .hack//Quantum) is directing the series at Kinema Citrus. Natsuko Takahashi (Moyashimon, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0) is supervising the scripts and Hisayuki Tabata (main animator on Accel World, animation director on Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion) is designing the characters. The anime will premiere in Japan on April 9.
Mikami launched the manga in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara magazine in 2008, and the fifth compiled book volume will ship on April 26.
