Melbourne Anime Festival 2012 on This Weekend.

A quick reminder that Manifest will be running from this Friday, the 17th to Sunday the 19th of August at the Melbourne Showgrounds. Special guests include Darrel Guilbeau and Stephanie Young.

Darrel Guilbeau is a voice actor that has handled many roles including Mikado Ryūgamine from Durarara!! and Satoshi Hojo from When They Cry - Higurashi. His first role in anime was as Gainer Sanga in Overman King Gainer and he has also voiced Souske Kawara in Samurai Champloo, Shuji Sumimura and Tomonori Ichigaya in Kekkishi, Ichitaka Seto in I"s and I"s Pure and Kouji in Buso Renkin. His video game credits include lead character Layle from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers and Viewtiful Joe in Marvel Vs CAPCOM 3.

Stephanie Young is a talented voice actor with a very large stable of voices, most famously known as Nico Robin in the new dub of One Piece, Olivier Mira Armstrong in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Clare in Claymore. Additional roles from her large stable of work include the mysterious voice of Juiz in Eden of the East, Junko Asagiri in Desert Punkand Arachne in Soul Eater.

Madman Entertainment will be in attendance, roaming the convention, giving away Card Captor Sakura posters from their booth and announcing eight new titles from their panel. We will be posting any announcement news as soon as we can.

Additionally Hanabee Entertainment will be running a Toradora!-themed maid cafe as previously reported here.

There are currently no details available online for timetable and information on the Manifest website is scarce but their facebook page has several updates of note including maps, public transport and schedule information and the timetable has appeared online here.
