ADV Films UK Switches from US-Run Office to UK Partner
posted on by Egan Loo
ADV Films has notified its retail distributors in the United Kingdom that it is "transitioning its UK operations from a US-run office outsourcing to retail partners, to a partnership with a yet-to-be-named local home entertainment group." Funimation is already running a similar arrangement in which it partners with a British firm (Revelation Films) to distribute its titles in the United Kingdom — thus removing the need for its own office in the country. During ADV Films's ongoing negotiations for a Brititsh partner, the sales and distribution of the following titles are being placed on hiatus in the United Kingdom:
- Pumpkin Scissors
- The Wallflower
- Ah! My Goddess Series 2: Flights of Fancy
- 009-1
- Red Garden
- Innocent Venus
- Kurau: Phantom Memory
- Utawarerumono
- Paniponi Dash
- Guyver: The Bio-boosted Armor
- Le Chevalier D'Eon
- Coyote Ragtime Show
- Jinki:Extend
ADV Films UK is also running a warehouse sale of many of its other titles:
- Area 88
- Angelic Layer
- Aquarian Age
- Azumanga Daioh
- King of Bandit Jing
- Chrono Crusade
- Cromartie High School
- Colorful
- Dai-Guard
- DNAngel
- Divergence Eve
- Excel Saga
- Full Metal Panic! & Fumoffu
- New Fist of the North Star
- Get Backers
