posted on by Andrew Osmond
Also standard Blu-ray edition of uncut Paranoia Agent, new Fire Force volume and standard Blu-ray of Gundam Unicorn

On Monday August 30, Anime Limited will release a Collector's Blu-ray edition of the first Violet Evergarden film, Violet Evergarden I: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll (Violet Evergarden Gaiden: Eien to Jidō Shuki Ningyō). This edition will include an 80-page book including interviews, artwork and storyboards, as well as comments from director Haruka Fujita. In addition, the set will include a 28-page Violet Evergarden short story by Kana Akatsuki

The film was a side story to the original Violet Evergarden TV series. Anime Limited describes its story:

"The heir to a noble house, Isabella attends a finishing school for well-groomed young women to satisfy an "agreement" with her father. While this residence where white camellias bloom is a thing of joy and beauty for most, to her it feels like nothing more than a prison. Having resigned herself to a miserable future shorn of the hopes and dreams she once held, Isabella reluctantly meets her new manners teacher, Violet Evergarden - an experience that could change both of their outlooks on life forever."

MVM will release a standard Blu-ray edition of Satoshi Kon's series Paranoia Agent (uncut). The 13-episode television anime series premiered in Japan in February 2004. Genon Entertainment described the anime:

When the darkness overcomes the heart, Lil' Slugger appears...
After the first victim's story, the police felt the overly stressed woman was having a breakdown and lied to cover-up for some crime. However, after the third and fourth attacks upon unrelated victims led to the same description of a young attacker with a golden baseball bat and in-line skates, the police had to wonder - is the "Lil' Slugger" real or some kind of sinister phantom?

Satoshi Kon directed the series at Madhouse, and Kon is also credited with the original work. Seishi Minakami and Tomomi Yoshino wrote the scripts, and frequent Kon collaborator Susumu Hirasawa composed the music.

Funimation will release Fire Force Season 2 Part 1 as a Blu-ray/DVD. Funimation describes the story:

After his confrontation in the Nether with his younger brother Shou, Shinra Kusakabe's resolve to become a hero that saves lives from the flame terror strengthens. Finding a way to turn the Infernals back into people, unraveling the mystery of the Evangelist and Adolla Burst, and saving his mother and Shou—these are the goals Shinra has in mind. However, he has come to realize that attaining these goals will not be easy, especially with the imminent danger the Evangelist poses.

Anime Limited will release a standard Blu-ray edition of the OAV series Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, originally released between 2010 and 2014.
