March Comes in Like a Lion, Dragon Ball Movies Released Monday

On Monday October 22, Anime Limited will release March Comes in Like a Lion Season 1 Part 1 on Blu-ray, carrying the first 11 episodes of the series. Based on Chika Umino's manga, the story follows a solitary shōgi player named Rei and his relationships with a neighboring family. He becomes acquainted with Akari, and two young girls, Hinata and Momo.

Akiyuki Simbo (Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Bakemonogatari) directed the anime at SHAFT. Nobuhiro Sugiyama (ef: a tale of memories, Arakawa Under the Bridge, Nisekoi - False Love) designed the characters for animation. Seiki Tamura (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, K-ON!, Mr. Osomatsu) was credited for art direction, while Yasuhiro Nakura (Nekomonogatari (Black), Monogatari Series Second Season, Hanamonogatari key animation) was credited for art setting. Yukari Hashimoto (Toradora!, Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun, Mr. Osomatsu) composed the music, while Toshiki Kameyama (Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei, Nisekoi - False Love, Kan Colle) was the sound director.

Manga Entertainment will release Blu-ray and DVD box-set collections of Dragonball Z films and TV specials. This seven-disc collection will include Dragon Ball Z: Dead Zone, Dragon Ball Z: The World's Strongest, Dragon Ball Z: The Tree of Might, Dragon Ball Z: Lord Slug, Dragon Ball Z: Cooler's Revenge, Dragon Ball Z: The Return of Cooler, Dragon Ball Z: Super Android 13!, Dragon Ball Z: Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan, Dragon Ball Z: Bojack Unbound, Dragon Ball Z: Broly - Second Coming, Dragon Ball Z: Bio-Broly, Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn, Dragon Ball Z: Wrath of the Dragon, Dragon Ball Z: Bardock - The Father of Goku and Dragon Ball Z: The History of Trunks.

Manga Entertainment will also release a DVD box-set of five seasons of Yu-Gi-Oh! on 34 discs.

Anime Limited will release the first 12-part season of Junjo Romantica on Blu-ray. The company describes the story:

"Three very different couples caught up in a storm of pure romance!

Romantica: Misaki is struggling to prepare for his college entrance exams, so his brother arranges for a private tutor. But Misaki's nightmare is just beginning when his tutor, Usami, comes on to him! How will Misaki ever manage to pass his exam?

Anime Limited will release K: Return of Kings on Blu-ray and DVD. The company describes the series:

"Following the events of K Missing Kings, the Green Clan JUNGLE has been spreading its influence, causing friction with the Red Clan HOMRA and the Blue Clan SCEPTRE 4. The war escalates when the Green King, Nagare Hisui, sends his men to attack Kuro and Neko, forcing the return of the Silver King, Yashiro Isana. Anime Limited will also release The Testament of Sister New Devil BURST on Blu-ray and DVD. The company describes the story:

"While Basara, Mio, and Yuki have picked up their seemingly ordinary lives, they are attacked by magic-wielding humans while preparing for the upcoming sports event. Basara tries to become stronger by strengthening the testament when Rukia, Maria's sister, suddenly appears. Unknowingly, the war deciding the future of the demon realm has begun."

Anime Limited will also release the series Amanchu! on Blu-ray; the set will include a 50-page hardback book. The series follows the everyday lives of the members of a diving club in the city of Itō, in Shizuoka prefecture.

The manga features the same high school and some of the characters from Amano's earlier Roman Club manga.Junichi Sato (Sailor Moon, Princess Tutu, Aria the Animation) is serving as chief director. Kenichi Kasai (Honey and Clover, Nodame Cantabile, Bakuman.) is directing the series at J.C. Staff, with scripts by Deko Akao (Yes! Precure 5, Arakawa Under the Bridge, Snow White with the Red Hair). Yoko Ito (Love Stage!!) is designing the characters, and GONTITI is composing the music. The anime will have 13 episodes.

Manga Entertainment will release a Blu-ray editon of Makoto Shinkai's film 5 Centimeters per Second.

MVM will release the second volume of The Asterisk War on Blu-ray and DVD, carrying parts 13 to 24 of the series..

Anime Limited will release a Blu-ray edition of the 2007 Kyoto Animation series Lucky Star.
