Fate/Extella Spinoff Manga Goes on Hiatus

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Fate/Ikustella manga spinoff launched on March 6

The official page for Rōto Usagi's Fate/Ikustella manga in Kadokawa's Young Ace Up manga website announced on Wednesday that the manga will go on hiatus. The manga did not announce a date for its return.

The manga is a spinoff based on Marvelous and Type-Moon's Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star game, and is set in a parallel world where the Masters are babies that Servants Nero, Tamamo, and Altera have to take care of.

The manga launched in Young Ace Up on March 6.

XSEED Games and Marvelous released Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in North America and Europe in January 2017. The game launched for the same platforms in Japan in November 2016. Marvelous released a Nintendo Switch version in July 2017. XSEED Games also released a PC version on Steam in July 2017.

A new version of the game titled Fate/Extella Link shipped for the PS4 and PS Vita in Japan on June 7. XSEED Games will release the game physically and digitally for the PS4 and digitally for the PS Vita in North America this winter.

Kinoko Nasu wrote the game's main scenario, and Hikaru Sakurai was the scenario assistant. Arco Wada designed the characters, and Takashi Takeuchi was credited as the Fate series original character designer. Type-Moon produced the game's music.
