The Irregular at Magic High School: Raihōsha-hen Manga Ends in 7th Volume

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Manga's 6th & 7th volumes both slated for summer 2019

The fifth compiled volume of Majiko!'s Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei: Raihōsha-hen (The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor Arc) manga announced on August 10 that the manga will end with its sixth and seventh volumes in summer 2019.

The manga adapts volumes 9-11 of Tsutomu Satou's original The Irregular at Magic High School light novel series. Majiko! launched the manga in Square Enix's G Fantasy in December 2015. Square Enix published the manga's fifth volume on August 10.

Square Enix has published several manga series adapting Satou's light novel series, including Tsuna Kitaumi's Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei: Nyūgaku-hen (adapting novels 1 and 2), Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei: Kyūkōsen-hen (novels 3 and 4), and Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei: Double Seven-hen (novel 12), as well as Gin Amō's Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei: Yokohama Sōran-hen (novels 6 and 7) and Yuzuki N Dash's Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei: Natsu Yasumi-hen (novel 5) manga.

Kadokawa has also published several The Irregular at Magic High School manga, including Yu Mori's The Honor Student at Magic High School spinoff, Tamago's Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei: Yonkoma-hen spinoff, Waki Ikawa's Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei: Tsuioku-hen prequel, and Pinakes' manga based on the The irregular at magic high school The Movie: The Girl Who Summons the Stars film.

Yen Press licensed the original The Irregular at Magic High School light novel series and Mori's The Honor Student at Magic High School spinoff manga.

The novel series inspired a 26-episode television anime adaptation that debuted in April 2014, directed by Manabu Ono at Madhouse. Aniplex of America licensed the anime and released it on home video in 2015. The novels have also inspired the The irregular at magic high school The Movie: The Girl Who Summons the Stars anime film, which opened in Japan last June. Aniplex of America screened the film in theaters in the United States.
