The site also unveiled a new visual for the film.
The story of the manga centers on Tsubasa, a girl who saw an inspirational brass band performance at the finals of the Japanese high school baseball championships one summer. Tsubasa vows to join the band when she enters high school, and she happens to meet a certain boy there.
The film's main cast includes: Tao Tsuchiya (live-action Ouran High School Host Club's Renge Hōshakuji, Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends' Makimachi Misao, pictured center) as Tsubasa Ono, Ryōma Takeuchi (Kamen Rider Drive's Shinnosuke tomari/Kamen Rider Drive, right) as Daisuke Yamada, and Shōno Hayama (live-action Tsuri Baka Nisshi's Shintaro Tsuozumi, younger brother of Tsuchiya's character in Mare television series, left) as Aki Mizushima.
Takahiro Miki (live-action Blue Spring Ride, live-action Solanin) is directing the film, and TOHO Pictures is producing it. The staff is filming the movie from April to May.
Kawahara launched Aozora Yell in 2008 and ended it this past October. Shueisha shipped the 19th and final compiled volume on January 25. The manga has more than 2.5 million copies in print.
The series appeared in a music video for the song "you can do it!" by rookie singer-songwriter Suzu in 2014. Aozora Yell also had an eight-page crossover manga with Karuho Shiina's Kimi ni Todoke manga in 2013.
Viz Media released Kawahara's High School Debut in North America, and began releasing Kawahara and Aruko's Ore Monogatari!! under the title My Love Story!! in 2014. A television anime adaptation of My Love Story!! debuted in April 2015.
