Peach Girl's Miwa Ueda to Launch Ichigo no Ōji to Entremets
posted on by Sarah Nelkin
The October issue of Kodansha's Bessatsu Friend magazine is announcing on Saturday that Miwa Ueda (Peach Girl) will begin serializing a new manga series titled Ichigo no Ōji to Entremets (The Strawberry Prince & the Entremet) in the magazine's November issue, which will be released in Japan on October 11. An entremet is the French term for a small dish served between meal courses.
The magazine lists that the "sweet and delicious" series will revolve around middle school girl Ichigo, who gets dumped by a boy the day before her high school entrance exams. On that day, she also has a shocking encounter with someone.
Ueda ended her Aruite Ikō (Let's Walk) manga earlier this year. Tokyopop published Ueda's Peach Girl manga in North America, while Funimation released the anime adaptation. Del Rey published six of the Japanese volumes from Ueda's Papillon - Hana to Chō manga. Bessatsu Friend serialized both of these manga and her Pure-Mari series.
